This rack is extremely easy to install. It created space in my garage that I am loving. It took less than 1/2 hour to install. Once installed it's relatively easy to put the bike in the rack.One thing I worried about is it would be so difficult to lift the bikes and put them in the rack we'd never want to take them down and use them again. They weren't. I installed it high enough so that the bikes' lower tire clear the ground, but not too high so I have to lift the bikes too high. Works perfectly!
