There are two faucets in my house that use this faucet and both times I misdiagnosed it. The first was my shower and there was no hot water the entire time so I just replaced the faucet but no change. Took it apart and replaced the pressure equalizer behind it and the problem was solved. A small drop appeared from the second tap, again I thought it was a mixer, no, I was wrong again. Replaced the faucet and it was actually dripping more than before, disassembled and replaced the pressure equalizer and the problem was solved again. My suggestion to anyone having issues with a leak or hot water is to simply swap both out as you take them apart. This will likely save you time and headaches.
