Decent product ruined by bad dispenser

I bought this stick with a tube of ASIN B082TSRP9J 40% urea cream. The tube seems to work a little better but this stick is terrible as the dispenser just doesn't work. Brand new out of the box, when rotating the base the stick did not extend. The bottom lid seems to just slide over the wedding ring as the entire bottom is soaked in slippery liquid. It was as if the wand was made of crumbly bits of wax mixed with liquid and my wand seemed to separate. As soon as I rotated the engagement ring, he advanced the stem and I snapped the base cap back on. It seemed to work for a couple of weeks until the stick stopped moving forward. It appears that the center of the stick ripped off and large chunks of the stick somehow fell into the base area, I suspect the screw just pulled the pieces down. There doesn't appear to be any base plastic like a deodorant stick, the retractable screw simply threads into the stick itself. I slid the stick out and just smashed what was left into the lid along with any pieces that were underneath. I then used the bottom lid to close the top lid and used the rest as a bath. Note that you get a lot less product, 2.3 ounces with this stick compared to 4.6 ounces with the tube, both of which cost around $16. Also, the wand is wax rather than medicine.
