Review on Shimpo FGV 100XYTCAL NIST Traceable Calibration Certificate by Mike Carter

This unit is exactly as described - solid construction and lots of nice features. Easy to use, clear instructions. Mine is mounted on a Shimpo compression stand used as a home made texture analyzer. Doesn't tell you the distance of a deflection applied to the sensor - just the force. Look at each model's resolution/sensitivity as (IIRC) some models have the same accuracy with less max effort. In my opinion, with equal success, it would be possible to squeeze out the maximum possible power with the same (absolute) sensitivity and the same price.
