Bought for our 2 1/2 year old. For the first hour we owned it, he dropped it, held it upside down, turned it over, opened and closed the lid during the movie, pushed every button on the thing - and it just kept working! He really impressed me! Picture quality is decent - don't know what to expect from a 7". I like that I can see it from every angle when I'm sitting next to it. Part of the DVD so he can't accidentally open it or stop it, but I'm sure after a few days the buttons will lose their appeal to him. The small remote control is also very handy! When I don't have the remote control handy. The power cord is very short but once charged we did use it Don't use it for browsing. I haven't tested the battery life yet to see how long it actually lasts. I gave it a 4 due to the short power cord, lack of a menu button on the player, and the inability to rate it a 4. Lock the buttons, but overall I'm very happy with this little thing!
