I love this pan and its big sister, the lasagne pan. As always, a lustrous, all-clad finish that will wash clean and look new no matter how much mess you make while cooking (if something's burnt, just soak it in mild soapy water for a little bit; if it's on the outside, inside soak a large pot or bucket). Lighter than some all-clad pans, yet heavy enough to cook easily while minimizing burning. It's good to have a top. And despite what the reviewers say, the top is REALLY easy to put on and take off, at least if you read the instructions that come with the baking sheet. There are 2 small embossed arrows on the handleless side of the lid and you need to roughly place the lid on accordingly and then press on the arrows while either lifting the opposite sides of the lid (to open) or pushing up on the opposite sides (close). I read the instructions and there were no problems. The husband did not swear, he cursed loudly and for a long time. After pulling it out of his system, he heard me gently implying that there was a catch for some time. After listening to the explanation, he can now open and close it himself. I love the ability to reheat food on the stovetop (e.g. cheese sauce for pasta), then pop it in the oven (for baked pasta), and then store leftovers (if you have any) in the same pan. For Thanksgiving this square pan will hold 2 full packets of regular sized Pepperidge Farm stuffing mix (full to top) or a bag of generous mix toppings - giving us enough extra toppings for the famous stuffing lovers in our family to go to town and that's it leave some for everyone else to have with the rest of the turkey! Great for a pack or two of quick bread (fairly flat if one and almost to the top of the pan if two), again using the lid to keep it on the counter while people nibble on it for the next few days. The handles are specially recessed to take up less space in a cramped oven; The strategy works, doesn't bring hands together when lifting or carrying. I don't usually buy an all-clad (Cuisinart and Tramontina stainless steel pans work well enough for me at much cheaper prices), but this one is unique and cheaper than some of their items. Real Winner! Well - can anyone (like All-Clad, Nordicware or Cuisinart) make stainless steel pots with lids?! :) :)
