Review on 🔧 WEN 10423 1" Steel Hardened Precision Inch by Jason Unruh

I bought these 1-2-3 blocks to use in my scale model building. Their accuracy is within the model building specifications. Their weight and shape make them ideal for securing corners during grouting and laying. One complaint was that the blocks came with "oily residue". Of course it has an oily residue because it's a machine part! This will prevent it from rusting after manufacture! Machine tools are lubricated for this reason alone. I used mine literally within minutes of arriving, took it out of the box, out of the plastic bag and sprayed it with WD-40. I rubbed the blocks until the motor oil and WD-40 were gone. What's left may have ended up on the model, but I always degrease/clean each model before painting, so it's no big deal. If you live in a humid climate like me, they will rust as soon as you clean them. . However, I keep them clean and spray dry PTFE. It works well. buy you. They are very valuable for my use!
