Not safe for the ankle in my rating.
I bought several pairs for my autistic son because of the velcro closure. He injured his ankle due to a sharp metal ankle brace that came out after paired use. Please see the picture. Please check and make sure.

- I love these shoes! Ordered it for my dad and it fits perfectly! He loves her!!!
Cons
- For a person with flat feet, there may not be enough arch support.
