The assembly instructions were odd, but I've seen other reviewers recommend watching YouTube tutorials. I strongly recommend doing this! I'm 5ft 1in and in the lowest chair position I still need a footstool. My feet can reach the ground but not completely flat. The Californian model seems to fit my height better, but it's a bit wider and has more carrying capacity, and according to online comparisons, it also has more adjustable features. Armrest, maybe not the best angle for comfort. The issue was resolved by purchasing $12 worth of office chair armrest cushions. The bucket seat is good - I like the lateral support but my husband wasn't a fan of it as he's a bit taller than me. If you have wide hips/thighs I recommend the XL version as I'm quite short and have already touched the sides of the bucket. My husband said he was in pain after 5 minutes. I've come across them saying it's closer to 290-300 so be aware. Very comfortable and has excellent back support. The cushions are nice, but I felt more comfortable by removing them often and just adjusting the recline of the chair. They are very durable and seem to last a long time. It weighs a lot, so I'd recommend taking it to the right spot to build piece by piece rather than trying to lug a huge 55lb box into a room or up a flight of stairs. In general very satisfied.
