KING is the KING - Whetstones

For the money these stones can't be beat. Resist the temptation to use cheaper stones. You won't save any money. Tried cheaper brands. pebble. there is no comparison. I've never been able to get a polished edge on other stones. The Pebble 8000 stone always left scratch marks like 3000 or less. This KING stone is an animal and measures 1 5/16 inches thick x 2 1/2 inches x 8 1/4 inches. The stone is hard and wears out very slowly. Therefore, it needs to be aligned less often. 800 profiles the blade quickly. I changed my kitchen knives from 15 to around 18 degrees very quickly (15 degrees didn't hold the blade). Then I switched to KING 1200 and smoothed the blade. in a very short time. Switching to the KING 6000 was like a dream come true. With minimal honing, I achieved a polished and refined edge that required minimal leather work. DANGER ARMED. Above all, the KING 6000 shows almost no wear and tear. The pebbles are so soft that they wear out quickly. I completely wore out the pebbles in no time. Although to be honest I have to say that the 1000 pebbles are alright. should last for years I had fun buying the KING 8000 but they are quite expensive compared to the sleepers mentioned. Besides, how sharp does a knife have to be for me. Razor sharp enough for me. buy you. You will not regret it.
