I use a spiral upward cutter to cut round tables and this cutter is fast and causes minimal chipping (even on cherries). A quality cutter that I will be making lots of use of and the 1 1/2 inch height of cut is very versatile. Many times I need to cut 1" wood, and the 1" bit is small and the 2" bit is bulky (even dangerous). The ideal cutting length is 1 1/2 inches. The upcut design ejects sawdust and shavings, ensuring a clean, multi-pass cut rather than clogging the trench.
