Review on 🌍 Earth-Friendly Bandit Packaging Inches by Scott Welch

Not bad but could be better

As others have said, wish they hadn't used a plastic spool. Even old regular non-recycled tape like Duck brand uses a cardboard spool. You might think Earth Hugger is too, but it's not. Also, for unknown reasons, they don't explicitly state the percentage of recycled content. I had to contact the manufacturer, Conros Corporation of Ontario, Canada, to find out it's 50%. recycled plastic. That's good, but it could be better - even Scotch brand tape offers 65% "green" PCRC tape, but since it's only packing tape and not packing tape, I also use this Earth Hugger tape as it's the only packing tape is. I noticed that they are made from recycled plastic. The tape itself is ok but a little disappointing at times because it sticks to itself more than other tapes I've tried. And if I don't smooth it gently, wrinkles will appear. But it holds up and does the job, and I reckon it's at least 50% recycled, so I'll keep buying it (until someone finds something better).

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • so far so good
