fix your rgb - Internals

is no different from any other RAM. I scored a 20 in Cinebench r15 compared to my 3 year old Corsair Vengeance 3200Mhz. I bought 3600MHz to be clear so that's to be expected. The only game I tested was Red Dead Redemption 2 and my fps dropped 1-2 through gaming benchmark between the average low and high. So definitely within the error limit and so far there has only been one test. I will explain. I hate RGB. I made sure all my components are highlighted in red as that is my computer's theme. the LEDs on the fans are manually set to red. The motherboard sets my Asus logos to red and leaves them there. the same with my gpu. However, the RAM flashes in RGB when you are not logged into Windows. To be honest, the RGB settings have to be saved on the built-in controller. RGB just looks awful. The RGB stream on gskill ram is very blocky, the feeling is not very smooth. Fading and fading reminds me of the old flickering light of an office building. The timing could be better too. if the RAM can be overclocked to make it work stably. So it should be out of the box, not increasing the price another 50% for the same RAM with 2 points lower timings, the update* added 2 more sticks for a total of 32GB. I am using asus strix x570. $300 motherboard, this RAM should be set up perfectly for Ryzen but fails to boot repeatedly before resetting the BIOS. you'll have to keep fiddling with it to get the DOCP settings to work. There are no other overclock bios by default, only DOCP. 16GB works fine, but then again, the micron RAM used in these modules is rubbish. You pay too much for radiators. Buy a Samsung with a chip, it's better.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
