LED modules are not compatible with 12V. If you connect the light to 12V, the LEDs will burn out

I bought this Rock LED lighting system to connect to an existing system/controller, which controls all my LEDs lighting. Nothing fancy, just a 12v RBG control system. Bought because the LED blocks looked good quality and the longer wiring harness was a plus. But they are just not compatible with 12V. The modules themselves appear to be 2-4v, so they won't work if you add them to an existing 12v system. It might be ok if you're just using that system/controller, but for me 50 is US dollars gone due to errors in descriptions.
