What can I say? I was initially skeptical that my friend suggested trying this. I ordered the first pair in white (not pictured) and tried them for a week. My first impression: This is the first Teva kit I've ever had and I don't hesitate to carry it everywhere. They don't look like athletic, hiking, or adventure sandals like the rest of their line. This refers to hippie sport sandals, hiking, biking, kayaking, running. They can be dressed up or down. I wore them to the beach and even wore them (black) with a dress to dinner and got compliments and shock from the ladies when I told them it was TEVAS. Different shades. very comfortable and stylish. Each of the colors can be combined with almost any color outfit. They fit and feel so good. The material is almost like a crocodile material. They don't have the fabric or falls of regular Teva sandals, and they don't have a synthetic or leather insole, so (thankfully) they don't seem to catch smelly feet (EEW) odors. Easy to wash, easy to clean. Just hose them off if you use them on the beach, or gently scrub them with a sponge or soft nylon toothbrush if you use them in the mud. The front strap is not adjustable; The top strap (at the ankle) attaches with Velcro and is slightly adjustable. I hold the strap, not tight. It helps NOT to have an ankle strap that is too loose causing chafing, believe it or not, rather than leaving it loose. But not too tight! Or your leg loses circulation, which is WORSE. I get lots of compliments for those of you who love the attention you get from wearing GOOD shoes, sandals and slippers. Living in Hawaii we basically have a flip flop and sandal culture and they are ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for that purpose. Time for a business event. I wore the white one to a friend's wedding. I was the most comfortable lady there I guarantee! It is usually difficult to find good white sandals for moderate and classy events, and white, well cared for and clean is what you need. Didn't think to take a picture of me in white, sorry! lol! I can't praise that enough. At the moment I have a white, black, sea green and mango colored sandal. I love it. Fits? Well, they're about 1/4 inch longer, but that's secondary. In any case, you should not make them too tight from heel to toe, otherwise you will hurt your toes when hiking or walking. Also, the front strap, which is oversized (1/2 size too big), sits squarely on the first "knuckles" of the toes and feels best for me. Either way, your toes can bend and flex, you can still wiggle them and elevate your toes for flexibility and comfort. Suitable for mud, sand, water, dirt and (thoroughly cleaned) even a night on the town when you want to make a mark? Do you wear a white dress and mango-colored sandals? Yes! You can do it with this if you want. Put on the mango-colored designer glasses (orange) and make a statement!
