I prefer them with a scent. I've found that it rarely leaves a "residual odor" that I have to wipe off with a towel or paper towel. (I don't know why sometimes I smell something and sometimes I don't.) This sometimes only happens with storage containers that I keep with a lid. I no longer get leftovers on cups that are stored the right way up and get some air. Not sure if they cost more than branded packs. Tip for those who say they still get residual odors: Use the "Extra Hot" setting on your dishwasher. I find the dishes come out cleaner and this reduces (or eliminates) residual odors from any type of packaging. In fact, I am convinced that because very hot water is not used, the dishes do not get completely clean. A small complaint that could be operator error: I'm having trouble opening the container. But I have arthritis in my hands, which makes it difficult for me to open a lot of things. I ended up having to hack it. No problem as I used the container that came with my other dish soap. (What just came to my mind might be why I still get the occasional scent residue. The container contained scented dish bags which I bought before I discovered them.) Would highly recommend these (and have ordered them again and for the configured automatic delivery, which saves money) .
