Purchased for sofa. I have dogs that leave the street on my couch. I can wash them several times a week. I've washed them about 10 times I'd say. They still look good and there are only a few spots where their paws got caught. They did their job and are doing a good job. Pillowcases are used on real pillows. I have an elbow shaped pillow on my bed and I am stuck in the box it originally came in. However, once I get those cases, I finally have cases to switch to. I washed my blanket and pillow every day because I have terrible night sweats. The old cover had sweat stains after the third wash. There are no stains with them and I only have to wash every other day. They don't retain stains or odors every day. I didn't have to wash the pillow either as it doesn't get wet, stink or leave sweat stains. I'm also not sure if they help with the heat, but I don't wake up with wet hair using them like I would with a cotton pillowcase. I am not sure. I will probably buy more.
