Review on Watts Water Condition M7002 Flow Pur: Maximize Water Purity and Flow Efficiency! by Nelson Calafell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works well but the instructions are incomplete and vague and an item was missing on delivery.

Does the job it was made for and lasts long on a single charge. That's good news. The bad news is that backwashing and recharging is a bit more difficult than with smaller devices. My Watts RV Pro-1000 came without a backwash adapter (required to connect a hose to the OUTLET valve). To make this work, I had to borrow my adapter from the guy I gave my old on-the-go water softener to. Directions are also vague and incomplete. They tell you how to backwash but they don't know for how long. I hope 10 minutes is right. When regenerating, you will be prompted to drain a few cups of water from the device before adding 2 pounds of table salt by gently tilting the device. However, you can lay the thing parallel to the ground and it won't drip much. If you followed the previous instructions, at this point all the valves are closed and nothing is draining. I opened the outlet valve and it may still be a few hours before you pour a few cups. Another way to do this is to remove the filler hole in the tank head and pour some water in. However, they warn that you can also dump the ion exchange resin, which would affect the performance of the system. I think I've already used half of that ion in two reloads. If the instructions were complete and they provided the female to female adapter required for backwashing I could give it 5 stars. As it is and at a high price, I'm not sure I would recommend it.
