Built-in drain line flow restrictor provides a more effective regeneration increasing the capacity by up to 55%. Custom designed flow valves allow regeneration without having to connect/disconnect the system. Full cradle base keeps tank more secure than cometing open base tanks. Hardness strips included. High flow rates up to 4 GPM with low pressure drop. Uses common table salt.

Type of review

Does the job it was made for and lasts long on a single charge. That's good news. The bad news is that backwashing and recharging is a bit more difficult than with smaller devices. My Watts RV Pro-1000 came without a backwash adapter (required to connect a hose to the OUTLET valve). To make this work, I had to borrow my adapter from the guy I gave my old on-the-go water softener to. Directions are also vague and incomplete. They tell you how to backwash but they don't know for how long. I hope…

WOW! Worth the money!

UPDATE 4/15/16: This had been installed on our factory unit for 4 months and 5 days and we only needed to charge it for the first time after traveling around the AL coast, east TX were NW TX, along I-40 through NM and to NW AZ. I currently live full time in my RV. We had only been here at the RV site for about a month when I noticed water build up in the connectors. I found this portable water softener online.
