To prepare my fifth wheel for winter, I only drain the lines and don't fill in any antifreeze. But I do remove things that can be damaged by water retention and freezing, like the shower head, toilet valve, and the clear part of the strainer that holds the strainer. I leave all faucets and valves open, especially the bottom drain valves and water heater plug. Oh, I put a cup of antifreeze down every drain. Yes, I saw this firsthand, but after replacing these items for the first time, I saved many years of antifreeze and didn't have to flush the lines in the spring. It's a good idea to make a list of what you delete. Happy camping!
