This is one of my favorite devices. It heats up quickly, the temperature control is much more precise than my electric stove, the cooking temperature can be changed quickly and accurately. The hob only heats up underneath the cookware being used and switches off automatically when the cookware is lifted off the cooktop. When you're done cooking, the surface cools quickly and is easy to clean if you've spilled any liquids. I use it all the time instead of my electric stove.
