This trimmer has features that other trimmers don't have. It has two speeds. This can be good or bad depending on your preferences. You press the power button once for low and again for high. A third press of the button turns it off. One speed is enough for me personally. What I really like about this trimmer is the head switching mechanism. I've had two others and both require you to slide the head back and then snap the new one into place. It has buttons that allow you to remove the head and replace it with another. Much more convenient to use. It also has a very good base for all the included heads, head attachments and cleaning brush. Also, the charging cable connects to the base so you can charge the trimmer while it's attached to the base, which I haven't seen with my other trimmers. The trimmer works fine. I can't say anything about the battery life as I change it in the base after use and charge it up to 100% (visible on the digital display). This trimmer replaces one that worked fine but stopped holding a charge after a while. So far I am very happy with this trimmer.
