Review on πŸŽ₯ Enhanced Movo/Sevenoak DSLR Shoulder Rig with Automatic Follow Focus and Zoom Control - Optimal Camera Shoulder Mount for DSLR Cameras by Leslie Smith

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Amazing build quality and price. First there was a defect, but Movo from California delivered a replacement part without any problems.

Updated Review: I was immediately impressed with the Movo MFF400. The quality and price are very good and I can tell you with confidence that this will be a must-have and permanent addition to my 4K cinema setups. . In fact, I've designed a modular system consisting of just the camera frame, rails and MFF400 motors that quickly snap into everything else; my shoulder rig, tripod, trolley, jib crane etc. The brains behind all my gear are the camera, the glass and the MFF400. My addiction is real and when I received a broken zoom grip out of the box I was very nervous. Movo is based in California - it's most likely a rebranded reseller, but that's perfectly fine. They responded and apologized immediately and said they would ship a new part no further questions asked. Delivery took almost a month (hence 1 star not paid) but Movo replaced the faulty part and did it with a smile. They have amazing customer support and are very proactive in responding to emails and in today's USA good customer support is becoming increasingly rare. Even Revain lost the trust of its customers after outsourcing most of its functions to the Philippines. Movo was quick to respond and provided the one-year warranty. The Movo FollowFocus MFF400 is a bargain, very solid build quality and at least $80 cheaper than all the others - and I mean ANY identical competitor product* (like Neweer) and trust I'm meticulous in my research. The response time of the triggers on the motor is very good, approx. A delay of 1/12 of a second that is imperceptible during use. Any small/indie filmmaker using cine/prime lenses needs this product, yes, and I strongly recommend you to use this type of "gearbox" rather than the rubber belt driven version which is underpowered and has disadvantages has (MFF400 - this is an improved version). 2). I am very satisfied and delighted with Movo and this product, highly recommended. So you have multiple brands making the same product, at least as far as I understand it. Don't be put off by the C-word - everything, including Canon, Zeiss and very expensive high-end products, is made in China. This is inevitable and just like in Japan, product quality is increasing rapidly and I have purchased many products for my company directly from China that have amazing build quality. If I'm wrong that Movo is a rebrand, I apologize and they should correct me in a review response.) First review: [Actually, the build quality and value of this product is outstanding - I would give it 5 stars multiple times. days, but my electronic part broke. I'll keep three (3) stars until Movo fixes this issue - replacing the grip with a working one or agreeing to a refund on the repair bill is all I want. Once the issue is resolved and my new system is working properly, and based on my experience with Movo regarding this issue, I will update this review back with a few stars.]
