Very nice professional item

I was intrigued by the idea that with a DSLR I can focus and zoom on the go and get clearer pictures because I don't have to reach for the lens. Movo mff400 is well made and my cannon 5d fits very well. The only problem I had was that the particular lens I was using had the focus and zoom reversed on the lens so I just swapped the motors and the problem was solved. I used it for the first time at a worship concert and it worked flawlessly. However, I would definitely add some weight to the rear

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Updated Review: I was immediately impressed with the Movo MFF400. The quality and price are very good and I can tell you with confidence that this will be a must-have and permanent addition to my 4K cinema setups. . In fact, I've designed a modular system consisting of just the camera frame, rails and MFF400 motors that quickly snap into everything else; my shoulder rig, tripod, trolley, jib crane etc. The brains behind all my gear are the camera, the glass and the MFF400. My addiction is real…

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Oh how disappointing.

So many things I don't like. The screws broke within a day with VERY light use. The motors are clumsy, the controls cheap and not sensitive enough, the assembly of the plates is complete nonsense. It is not tightened, so the camera starts to slide off. Remember I'm using a Sony A7sII. A very light camera, but the tension screws just can't take the weight. Could this be a manufacturer error, but not with all individual elements? In terms of motors and controls, it's so difficult to dynamically…

Great product to add to your arsenal

I've had limited browsing experience since using the product not used for a full event. I will then update the rating. Receive the package to South Africa a week earlier than planned. Everything was fine and easy to assemble by looking at the 3D drawing. Lights up and everything works as it should. The engines behave like good quality engines and respond well. Benefits1. The engines respond well2. Speed dials to increase or decrease focus and zoom speed3. Comes with plastic rings to fix lens…

  • Out of fashion

Almost good. But no.

Purchased June 2019 and previous reviews are pretty consistent with my findings. Thumbscrews require a lot of force to screw in tight enough to hold the rails in place for many parts. The baseplate has an up and down adjustment, but try as I might, it is not tightened enough that the baseplate cannot simply drop to its lowest position. The ergonomics of the rig are very good and all parameters can be adjusted. It probably won't fit in the matte box on the front of your camera, so you'll…

Pros
  • PREMIUM SETUP: Capture professional quality footage with quiet, durable motors and focus/zoom presets. Runs on Canon LP-E6 batteries (sold separately)
Cons
  • Not the best
