Review on π Protective Screw Thread Caps for Hurricane Shutters - WIDGETCO 1/4" x 1", White by Donald Vargas
Not long enough compared to the original I bought before
These covers were purchased as replacements as my original covers that came with the Hurricane bolt kit were 20 years old and needed replacing. That's fine, but they do NOT completely cover the retractable screws coming out of the wall, so they're not as good as the original protectors. I don't want rust on the end of the propeller shaft where the tread doesn't quite cover. They should be about 1/4 inch or longer. like 1 1/4" - 1 1/2" long.
