Review on ๐Ÿฉน Flex Mend Belly Bottom Repair Tape - Durable and Versatile, 4 Inches x 108 Feet by Nick Nunez

just doesn't stick to the underbelly made of polyester

Total disappointment. Holes in the polyester lower abdomen are common. Many are double-width caravans, requiring the punching of cables and connectors, plumbing and sewer pipes through the floor. This gives rodents and insects access to the bottom of the trailer. This product is designed to repair holes in the bottom of polyester, but is not intended for that at all. After a few days the tape came off. If the 3M adhesive only works for a short time and then gives up, the plastic band on the lower abdomen will fail. I use a galvanized screen around pipes and electrical connections. I hold them in place with stapled nails that easily go through the 2x4 joists. Some home installers use plywood or OSB and drill holes for pipes and cables. The wood is measured to reach the wood frame. The decking screws work well and can be removed in the future if you have other repair or renovation needs. In some cases I have successfully used roof water protection. However, this requires a secondary mechanical fastening system. Plumbers often use braces, but they are never permanent. I recommend fur strips with or without a cheap stain. Working under MH is a nasty job. I recommend starting over at the outside edges on all sides. Then treat the water pipe and water pipes. Again, wood is a great way to make airtight crates using 2 x 4 joists and caulk. Some prefer steel wool. To stop cockroaches for good, just use the Advion Roach. A few taps on the water pipes end the happy party forever. This is a Dupont product that works like no other. This tape doesn't do any better than a cheap blue woven tarp cut to size and 10 feet of spray adhesive. Both will fail, but 3m will take longer.
