I read some negative reviews and decided not to give them much importance. When I received the press I immediately washed it in warm soapy water, then placed it in an iron pan and heated the oven. Dry in less than 5 minutes. I oiled it well and turned it into a frying pan along with the pressing part. A week unused, not checked. As I pulled out the weekend breakfast pot, I checked my abs. Ideal! No rust, nothing. I used it, did the same and saved it. I am very happy with this press and glad I made the decision to purchase it after so many years of fat rolling.
