Need a drill for installation

The alarm we used to install in our home was hard wired to a backup battery. The annoying low battery beep was bad enough, but it was often a false alarm, even with frequent battery changes. One night, after three false alarms between 10pm and 2am, I got fed up and ordered a set of these X-Sense alarm clocks to replace them. Our previous alarm clocks didn't have this capability. Luckily we didn't have any alarms to turn off yet. My only complaint is that the mounting bracket doesn't use the switch boxes that are already installed. They cover them slightly, but that meant I had to drill pilot holes and use the included plastic drywall anchors. One of the anchors completely warped when hammered and became unusable, but that was probably user error. Installation took about 10 minutes, which isn't bad at all.
