I use this LED on 2 different cars. On my 2016 Civic EX-T sedan, the bulbs are a little tight, but they fit snugly in the lower pair of brakes. the lights. This lamp is too long to fit in the high mounted third brake light and is slightly wider for this cartridge, although this lamp is the same part number. The lights did not set off any warnings or codes as they are in a position where they are only activated by the brakes - brake lights are not used as turn signals on this vehicle. Therefore, no additional modifications such as brake lights are required. The red LEDs are noticeably brighter than the halogens they replaced in daylight (I looked side-by-side, one brake light with halogen, the other with LED) and significantly brighter than the halogens at night. The bulbs on my 2018 Suburban are very neat and took a lot of effort to fit into the sockets. I was a bit concerned that I would break the bulb or socket when installing it, but in the end that didn't happen. Since the brake lights are also the turn signals on this vehicle, these LEDs will flash and trigger warnings on the dashboard. Since this car has a computer controlled flash and not a traditional flash module, the only way to get rid of the hyper flash and warnings is to use a resistor or load a special program into the car's ECM. I used a 50W 6 ohm resistor I bought from Revain for each bulb. The red LEDs are a bit brighter in daylight - the only sure clue as to which side the LEDs were on was the effect of the LED turning on instantly. At night they are much brighter than halogens. For vehicles with red lenses, these red LEDs are great. The brand is respected so I expect them to last a few years.
