The transmission filter on my 2003 Buick Regal was recently replaced. Dropped a pallet and the gasket that was on the pallet was the same material. The Fel-Pro gasket seemed a bit thicker, but the old gasket was 10 years old so it's hard to tell. I cleaned the sump very well and used some gasket glue (never use RTV) to hold the washer in place, sits a lot while I install the new filter and raise the sump with no problems. When changing the filter I installed a JEGS Performance Products 60175 Transmission Pan Drain Plug Kit so I can now keep the transmission oil in the system clean between filter changes (I had a bad time as it was my first transmission filter change and my car ran 133 Ths. I have used a fluid vacuum on the dipstick a few times to change the fluid but the drain plug allows me to drain it better I would recommend this gasket to anyone.
