I chose this brand because I liked the design of the tabs on the gloves. I thought they were effective for my dog and I'm happy to report that they are! I have a Pitbull and Boxer mix. She is medium/tall with short hair. She enjoyed the massage so much that after I cleaned her she started walking around the garden. I combed it well both over and against the fur and also over the loose fur that had fallen out in sheets. Much more effective than a brush. We bathed her and I used her after lathering her up. I felt they were effective even when wet. I've used them on her back, sides and thighs. I can't speak from experience but after using the product on my dog I feel it is much less effective on a small or long haired dog. They are too coarse for a small dog and can tangle a long-haired dog's coat. I would never use them on a poodle of any size. But if you're a short haired breed like me, I think you'll like them.
