Review on 📱 IYING 10.1 Inch In-Dash Head Unit: Android 10 Single Din Car Stereo with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, GPS Navigation, Bluetooth, and WiFi by Mike Ogunlana

A little daring to buy this Chinese main unit. The installation guide was a little lacking, but I'm a techie and was able to figure it out. Allow a few hours to understand and fix this. Pros: The screen is big and looks good. The touch surface works quite well and is responsive. Android apps work with Google Play. Google Maps and GPS work perfectly. I share WiFi on my iPhone 12 and it works great. There is an application that allows you to program the controls on the steering wheel. There is also a bypass brake. Lots of storage space. 3 USB ports ensure you always have a USB drive for videos and other media files. CarPlay seems to work, but you need the app running for it to work. I installed it on a 2007 Escalade ESV. I bought another component that allows me to use both rear screens. Cons: There is a slight constant hum when playing audio. Worse listening to the radio. Therefore, the sound quality is a bit disappointing. The Bluetooth connection from my iPhone connects but the sound quality is terrible compared to the CarPlay connection. CarPlay requires a separate app and takes some time to launch. I don't know how to update the firmware for security patches etc. All in all, a decent device, but probably a bit pricey for a Chinese headline device that probably offers limited support and help. Not very good value for money.
