It would be a five out of five if they had an extra suction cup. You need to find a fixed spot in your tank to make sure it doesn't move. I took it out of my filtered 5 gallons because the water movement was too much. Every morning the tree trunk lay in a different place, and that's why the bettas stayed away from it. However, my rooster, who is now (temporarily) in the bowl, loves it and spends most of his day in it. No sharp edges or anything to tear the fins, and when it moves it's not heavy enough to hurt your fish. In general, it is quite neat and copes with its task. I can buy my own stick on suction cup pieces when he goes back to the filter tank.
