I wanted to like these.

These appear to be heavy duty, light running guides. Why did I only give them 3 stars? I was building some small cabinets for a new bathroom and was looking for quality rails; Reviews from them looked good. I built the drawers and drawers exactly to the specs outlined in the instructions and then had trouble getting the slides to run smoothly once attached. In my experience with all three sets I've installed, these guides are more sensitive to small differences in play than any other brand I've worked with. The instructions say the drawer body must be at least 1-1/16" taller than the drawer sides, so I designed mine to be 1-1/16"+. a little bit more. It became clear that this was too much clearance and I spent at least an hour screwing and unscrewing components and experimenting with fitting various sets of very thin washers (eg 1/64 inch thick) under the rails place to narrow the gap. When I got to the point where the guides moved fairly freely, adding another set of very thin washers caused more sticking. There is a "best fit" in the correct sizes and it is a very tight spot that doesn't follow the instructions. I'm an engineer with woodworking for over 40 years and I know my measurements were accurate and drawers and boxes were perfectly parallel front to back. I have no idea why others had problems with free installs and I had to play around with it so much. I've never had this problem. For my next project I am switching back to other well known brand slides that allow for hassle free installation.
