Review on ๐Ÿฒ KOIOS Kitchen Scale, 11lb Digital Food Scale Weight Grams and Ounces (USB Rechargeable), 0.04oz/1g Accurate Graduation for Cooking Baking, 6 Weight Units, Easy to Clean Waterproof Tempered Glass, Black by Dionne Reyes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Finally a kitchen scale that doesn't use replaceable batteries

I used to buy a Koios Food Saver (a device that removes air from a bag before the food in it freezes) and used it for about a year , with no issues/warranty issues, so I'm happy with Koios products. My wife and I follow the diet prescribed by our doctors, and the recipes usually measure ingredients in grams or ounces, which is what this scale says. We chose this over those with AA or AAA batteries because, according to other reviewers, the reading accuracy seems to be inaccurate as the batteries near the end of their charge (but you don't necessarily know that). Other reviewers say this device will hold a charge for about 3 months before needing a charge, or if you have an outlet nearby where you want to use it you can leave it plugged in - when not in use you can you hang up. from the work area. To remove excess water from tofu (this is our first time eating it), a "heavy" object sitting on paper towels should be placed on top of the tofu. Most written articles suggest a cast-iron skillet (it doesn't specify which sizeโ€”a 10.5-inch diameter weighs about 5 pounds, while a "standard" 12-inch diameter weighs about 8 pounds). I have a cast iron slow cooker that weighs almost 8lbs without the lid (according to the Koios scale which can weigh up to 10lbs) - I used it and the tofu came out great! I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I thought Koios should have included a plug that plugs into an outlet and where you connect a USB cable - I didn't think it would cost much more to include it, rather than forcing me to investigate whether any of them can be used.

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Makes me angry
