Ordered some to put in my wife's laptop which is "too slow" (Acer; bumped it up from 512MB to 4GB in one fell swoop). He opened the laptop's knees, pulled out the old ones, put in the new ones, and fired up this hammer. It loaded faster and the running Linux (which chugs but works) was lightning fast all of a sudden. I knew from my tech support years that the first thing you can do to speed up your computer is to add more RAM, but that was the best thing I've ever seen from that saying. If you're not sure if this will work in your own laptop - and most laptop manuals or manufacturer websites list the model pretty clearly - ask. Most of the time, the RAM chip manufacturer will answer questions themselves. Excellent stuff. Too bad I didn't find this brand of RAM before upgrading my own computer; I would keep the pack. Spring; You seem to have RAM for a lot of things; Maybe it's time to revive some of those old PCs that are languishing in the closet.
