Well this is the fourth order I've placed for Miller Miniature Dowels. I also used several batches of regular (next size) Miller dowels. I really like them, I think the drill is excellent, it holds the blade well. I used this system (both sizes) for two main purposes: First, by attaching the bottom to the boxes. The second is for holding the shelves (etc.) in the dado. Since they are almost perfectly round, as long as you drill the hole straight you won't have any gaps like sometimes happens with drilling, countersinking, screwing and then dowelling. My experience: I started as a carpenter about 40 years ago. I left the craft in the late 80's and am now an advanced carpenter mainly making furniture. My woodwork is about 2/3 similar to Roy Underhill's style which means I use hand tools (no burning electrons) and 1/3 power tools where the power tool either really saves time or gets the job done better than any similar hand tool exercise. Miller dowels give you a great job that would be difficult to replicate with similar results. Try them, you will like them!
