Works. My doors and frames are 30 years old. I replaced the weatherstrip around the front door about every two years or so. Sometimes I get a swollen strip of vinyl and it always seems like I need to go back to it and add a thin coat of foam sealer to fill the entire space between the door and the frame. So this time I just chose a thicker foam strip. It works really well to insulate that old front door. I put it on in pretty cold weather and it didn't hold up at first. So I wanted to use a hair dryer until it got hot and sticky. Turns out I didn't need it, but if it doesn't stick the first time, clean the surface you're sticking it to with alcohol. Then heat the surface with a hair dryer. I guarantee it will last for you. And there is no doubt that this is excellent thermal insulation. Fast, cheap and efficient.
