Too thin. If you have to manually remove the filter due to the lack of a removable filter holder, then this is not what you need. It breaks too easily. If you prefer ground coffee in the basket, on the floor, and on your hands before heading to the bin, this is for you. Also, they were too short for a 12-cup coffee pot and coffee grounds got caught in the coffee. I use bun filters now, they are much better made actually made for a 12 cup coffee maker plus a better price. So with Melitta, the price is in the brand name, so NOT RECOMMENDED!
