Review on πŸ”‹ Bosch PS21 2A Dual-Speed Battery Charger by Travis Caminiti

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It has been my main instrument for at least 14 years.

Yes, I just bought it. Why? I gave my old one to my daughter because it was easier to give it to her than checking in my luggage to bring home. After all these years of use, it still worked like a charm. This one has exactly the same feel as the old one. and the batteries are interchangeable with the older model, giving me 6 batteries (not that I'll ever need them all). I have three of this series. Impact wrench, adjustable angle drill and this tool. Batteries are replaceable. and they last. My only caveat is not to drain the batteries to zero or they will overheat and store them inside when not in use so they don't freeze or get hot. Likewise. Don't leave them on the charger. Load them up and shoot. The compact size of this tool is the most obvious feature, but it's also powerful. I used the old one to completely remodel the house. one screw/hole each. It fits in other places where a larger instrument doesn't belong. Rails, hinges, inner drawers for attaching drawer fronts. and where it doesn't fit, my version with an adjustable angle head fits. The kick is pretty strong and I prefer it to the Milwaukee I have. The speed trigger is more sensitive on the Bosch. The Milwaukee - albeit variable speed - feels like it's on/off rather than the slow build-up required for certain applications. Overall I think this is a great tool. If not, I wouldn't buy one again.

Pros
  • Screwdriver for drill
Cons
  • Requires socket
