For cable management it really helped because of the little clip in the back I was able to keep my mouse, keyboard, moniter power cable, vga to moniter, and hdmi to vga cables all managed and in a clean orderly fashion that made my set up look a whole lot better. The little area for my phone was a nice little bonus as well.
