Having bought a few other Lightning audio cables I only use this cable for 2 reasons: 1 No hum - the audio is crisp and clear. 2 cuts the "tail" hanging on my iPhone. The adapter is well built and offers a solid feel when connected to my phone (iPhone 12). I use wired headphones at night because they block noise like earplugs. Other ports had a long tail coming out of the bottom of the phone that looked like a pressure point and could damage the Lightning connector. This will hold the connector more firmly to the phone's body with less force if the connector is subjected to twisting or pressure.
