I have a long beard that touches my chest, wavy, stiff as a wire. I have always used natural handmade soap and chose it based on the reviews. Smells good, foams VERY, no complaints. Does not dry out the beard after washing. BUT . after 2-3 applications i saw a bald spot on my chin. I wanted to protect the product and figured it was probably my carb supplement causing the insulin imbalance. I've stopped using this, medical/psychological factors excluded, I'm a healthy, active person, well into my 20's. I've stopped using both carbs and shampoo and no more stains. Later I decided to try the shampoo again. It was ok for 2 days and noticed the patch again. So there is definitely something in it that bothers my skin. Luckily, after I stopped using it, I noticed that one of the sections had grown new hair, but the other (newer) one was still bald. I have never seen this type of balding before with any of the products I have used. no additives. I also noticed that several other users today are complaining about a similar experience. I think I just have to be more careful before choosing a product.
