Too upright, for me

Maybe it's just me, but when I think of a lawn chair, I think of putting them outside on a nice day, sitting back and relaxing in them. These, however, make you sit too upright to be relaxing. I think I will need to find some kind of lumbar support pillow for them. I uploaded 2 photos comparing the chair's back angle compared to 2 other common outdoor chairs. The back angle on these chairs is 75 degrees, versus 70 degrees for my metal chairs and 65 degrees for the Adirondack chair. That may not sound like a lot, but, to me, it is very noticeable. I will not be buying more. In all fairness, though, the upright position may be a characteristic of all these type chairs.Too bad, because otherwise these chairs are well constructed and have more heft to them than I thought (as in, they aren't going to collapse or blow away as easily as you'd think aluminum chairs would). They are also wider than what I remember these types chairs being. I can't quite tell how they attach the nylon webbing to the metal frame, but they are not riveted or screwed, which may be an issue if you ever need to replace webbing. Not sure if their method will be better in the long run, though. The folding action is smooth.Again, maybe it is just my preferences, but I think the backs are too upright. If that may be a concern to you, you may want to measure the angles of some of your chairs' backs to get an idea of what I'm seeing.

Pros
  • Durable Construction
Cons
  • The chairs may not be suitable for indoor use, particularly on hardwood or tile floors
