I bought a second monitor to connect to my laptop. The connection is HDMI so the sound from this new monitor is very low especially for my hearing impaired husband. I often use the computer while my husband watches TV in the same room. I needed speakers to connect headphones to. Choices seemed limited when I searched. So I went ahead and bought these speakers. Well, once I connected the speakers, there was virtually no difference in sound level between the monitor speaker and these speakers. I couldn't believe it! I also didn't realize how dazzling the colored lights would be! GAH! Maybe I don't know what 10W means and I just bought the wrong speakers for our purpose, but what I have now is TERRIBLE! I really have to go through the hassle of sending them back and getting my money back.
