Whether you're on a keto diet or not, if you eat a lot of bacon this is what you really need in your life, TRUST ME! I make LOTS of bacon - usually organic turkey bacon - and it's a HUGE time saver in meal prep and prep, especially when the bacon is only part of the recipe, such as bacon. B. Crumbles in an omelette. I like not heating the stove, not heating the house, and not hand washing the pan for a few rashers. It makes it SO EASY! I can throw 3 pieces on each hanger. The more bacon you use, the longer it will take to cook. I have found that the cooking times on my microwave differ from the instructions, which may also be due to the fact that I usually prepare turkey ham instead of pork. I find that turkey bacon takes a little longer to cook than pork. I find 3 to 3.5 minutes is ideal for 3 slices. They will be crispy and delicious! Fold in half, sure, but who cares about the shape!? When you're done, you can simply hand wash the pieces or put them in the dishwasher. The only things that could make it better are: 1) If the pieces you wrap the bacon around were a hair bigger for those really long strips. Yes, bacon shrinks during cooking, but I've found that some of my bacon pieces are slightly longer than the holders. It cooks. I do it conscientiously, but the fat still splatters on the sides. I really wish it was with the special splash guard that was designed for it. 3) One of the bacon holders warped in the dishwasher. Be careful how and where you wash them. All of which says that I LOVE this thing very much and use it almost every day, sometimes multiple times a day. This is a huge time saver and a change in breakfast rules! I highly recommend.
