Review on 🧻 Scott 01051 Center-Pull Paper Roll Towels: Ultra-Absorbent, Convenient 1Ply, 8x15 - 500 Sheets per Roll (Case of 4 Rolls) by Bryan Reynolds

Revainrating 3 out of 5

This is not a thumbs up for me, the product really needs a dispenser to function comfortably.

I give this product 3 stars for the benefit of working as intended when used in a dispenser. I do not recommend these large rolls (about 9 inches high and 8 inches). diameter), as I used to think, should stand on its own. Simply remove the center core board and thread the towels through the center. It is NOT easy to tear off with one hand as the perforations are (I'm guessing now) designed to work with the resistance of the dispenser and not stand up on their own. What makes this uneconomical (compared to standard paper towels on a spindle) is that I get a few before I get a good tear breaker. I also found that when drying hands they are not very absorbent, they are flimsy. and "rough" texture. And even stranger. The skin on my hands feels drier, like parched skin, than my traditional Brawny paper towel. I thought they were working in our laundry/service porch and garage. but again. the dispenser helps with tearing off and protects the roll from dirt, bugs etc. My husband is happy to have it in the garage/shop for a quick wipe down. It's not bad for him! Even if they ripped better, I wouldn't be a regular user due to the roughness, lower absorbency and skin feel afterwards. (We have a large box of "storage towels" in the garage that are softer, thicker, and absorb moisture better. I stick with these and my husband sticks with Scotts)
