Cut through the 4x4 cedar in a 7 inch curve. BUT VERY SLOWLY.

The jigsaw is definitely not designed to cut 4x4 cedar, so I wasn't expecting much. But after a lot of effort and patience I went through a set of 4 cedar 4x4 rims and probably cut a 12 inch line through each one. Didn't burn a single blade, but took regular breaks. It was painful and slow, but it worked. A tighter radius would be more of an issue due to the horizontal depth of the blade. Also, you have to be careful to keep an eye on the exit side of the blade, because a blade that long bends a bit and can easily fail.
