Used to cut grooves in 4x4 racks.

Used to cut grooves in 4 x 4 posts for an ornate Victorian fence that is 10ft high and 180ft long. The blades cut fairly quickly. Unfortunately, my Bosch 1584avs jigsaw allows the blade to flex too much, requiring multiple passes to get acceptable square cuts.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • So So

Great item good for blade

Have been using these blades for a while. I work a lot with wood and bought them when I was cutting out large panels for tables with a jigsaw. Blade It fits the bill perfectly.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Impressive: Power & Hand Tools

Using my Bosch JS527EL (see my review) this blade made a nice square curved cut on a 4 inch shank. The blade does not bend. right with this blade. I've never tried a longer jigsaw blade so can't say for sure, but if I needed to cut something thicker I'd probably use a bandsaw or, if precision isn't that important, my saber saw.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not sure

The blades are longer than commercially available.

These blades are well made and work great. I've looked at hardware stores for longer blades but couldn't find any T-shank blades longer than 4 inches. I found them here at Revain and am very happy with them. Also cuts much better than the original blade that came with my Black & Decker cordless secateurs. Like it a lot! worth your money.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Works well with large pieces of wood.

Simply cut an 8 ft. 4 x 6 sheet. This disc easily cuts through material. There was a problem, not sure if it was my fault or the blade, but the cut came out a little wrong even though the jigsaw sole was secure. That wouldn't happen on my bandsaw, but then again it would be very difficult to handle such a large piece of wood on a bandsaw. It's much easier to bring the saw up to the tree, even if the cut is a bit uneven.

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • Something else

Cut through the 4x4 cedar in a 7 inch curve. BUT VERY SLOWLY.

The jigsaw is definitely not designed to cut 4x4 cedar, so I wasn't expecting much. But after a lot of effort and patience I went through a set of 4 cedar 4x4 rims and probably cut a 12 inch line through each one. Didn't burn a single blade, but took regular breaks. It was painful and slow, but it worked. A tighter radius would be more of an issue due to the horizontal depth of the blade. Also, you have to be careful to keep an eye on the exit side of the blade, because a blade that long bends…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Empty

Do not worry! The blades cut hard and cut slower.

In short, these blades are top! I bought these because I needed long blades for my jigsaw table and I was hoping they would work well. Since I didn't have a comparison, I just assumed they would cut the way they do. Anyway, the return window closed a few days ago. Yesterday I received the Makita 792730-4 B-16L blades and now I have a comparison. I bought a Makita because 1) I hadn't seen them before buying Bosch blades and 2) I felt Bosch just cut so bad and so hard that I wanted/needed to try…

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • there are nuances
