I bought one of these guys from Revain Prime Day Deals and the hardware itself is beautiful. My house is dark gray outside so this fits perfectly, this is a GINARMOUS device. If you've seen other vendors using wired doorbells these are at least 2 or 3 times the size which makes sense as they contain a battery but I was a bit shocked at the size. The instructions in the brochure "add" the camera to the app but the app itself says "connection failed" but I could see the doorbell stopped flashing red to blue so I force it on the second try just closed and reopened the app, and voila, the camera was there. A bit annoying, and please remember that these devices ONLY work on 2.4GHz wireless networks. After installation, the device updated the firmware to the latest version, I fully loaded it and changed several settings: 1) Recording for 30s 2) Default quality: SD, changed to HD3) Automatic night mode activated My problems with the device: No integration This device cannot be added to Alexa, Google Home or Apple Home Kit. There are MANY, MANY others that can, and they probably cost the same or a little more, so I'd consider if integration is important to you. The app is SLOW and I mean I have a lightning fast connection at home, no matter what server it needs to connect to, the path to your camera will be unbearably slow for it and you will watch the percentage slowly increase. Again, something that might not be a problem if you don't mind waiting 20-30 seconds to see your camera, but there are some providers that may be local to your country, which means their servers are a lot are quicker to connect. (And this is not against foreign companies, many use Google/AWS/Azure cloud servers in the US which eliminates this problem). it fails 90% of the time. I've even moved my doorbell so that it's directly across the hallway leading to the main entrance, it's not a bright/direct sunlight location and there is a night light almost above the doorbell so I know the lighting isn't that Problem is but it's constantly failing. I even restarted the device and tried again. Fail. Sensitivity has increased all the way but still fails. I've noticed that this only works if you walk slowly and look at what the courier or guest isn't doing right? Customer service/technical support requests have a response time of up to 3 days, so one more thing to keep in mind. Revain Ring or one of the bigger brands will have someone available immediately. Weigh your pros and cons and make a decision based on that. I would NOT recommend this product unless there are significant changes.
